Primakara University, in collaboration with TAKA Lab and the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi), successfully hosted TAKA Connect Bali Chapter under the theme “Building Bali Beyond Tourism: Strengthening the Creative & Digital Innovation Ecosystem.” Held at Primakara University in Denpasar, the event served as a collaborative platform to strengthen Bali’s digital innovation and creative economy ecosystem.
The event brought together academics, entrepreneurs, startups, investors, communities, and government representatives to discuss opportunities and challenges in fostering innovation-driven economic growth. Through this forum, participants exchanged insights, experiences, and collaboration opportunities to support the advancement of Indonesia’s creative and digital industries.
The program opened with a keynote speech by Dr. I Made Artana, S.E., M.M., Rector of Primakara University and Chairman of the Bali Creative Board. In his remarks, he highlighted the importance of collaboration among universities, industry, government, and communities in creating impactful innovations that contribute to sustainable economic development and diversification beyond the tourism sector.
The event continued with a fireside chat featuring Made Adi Paramartha Putra, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., Vice Rector for Research and Innovation at Primakara University. During the discussion, he emphasized the strategic role of higher education institutions in developing digital talent, advancing applied research, and supporting the growth of innovative startups capable of addressing future industry challenges.
Also participating in the discussion was Adinda Ragilia, Partnership Lead of the Partnership & Investment Ecosystem at Komdigi, who shared insights into government initiatives and collaboration opportunities designed to strengthen Indonesia’s startup and digital innovation ecosystem. Meanwhile, Indra Permana, CEO of BETA UAS, discussed the development of drone-based technologies and the importance of technological innovation in creating impactful solutions for industry and society.
Through the successful implementation of TAKA Connect Bali Chapter, Primakara University reaffirmed its role as an innovation-driven university committed to building strategic partnerships among academia, industry, government, and communities. The event is expected to further strengthen Bali’s startup ecosystem and digital economy while encouraging the creation of sustainable innovations for the future.
